Basil, AKA "Ox" was a beautiful specimen, he was however one of what I call my rubber butts. Rubber-butts are what I refer to as Neos that through no fault of their own keep coming back to me. First he had a great owner that had to move overseas, then he had an owner that not only overfed him but failed to vaccinate him properly. He came back to me looking like a beached manatee. I placed Ox one last time in a great home with a couple that had owned a Neo from me before. Unfortunately, he was soon after diagnosed with Distemper, an untreatable disease that is very uncommon nowadays since most responsible owners vaccinate. Although he died too young, he loved with a lion's heart. Rest in Peace Ox.
